The first question you are asking yourself is : “What could be so different about this umpteenth NFT project?”. In fact, quite a few things…

OniiChain is a NFT project where anime avatars (called “Onii’s”) are randomly generated and rendered on-chain. Billions of possibilities!
The first 8,753 mint will turn into a Unique Legacy Collection !
Holding Onii’s will grants you acces to our growing innovative NFT Ecosystem !

Decentralization

The first point, which is one of the most important, is decentralization. Most projects have a tokenURI that points to a JSON that is somewhere. "Somewhere" is often a server, which can be problematic if it goes down.

tokenURI is a function given by the NFT smart contract to retrieve the metadata (name, attributes, image,...).

Oniis metadata is not stored on a server, they are retrieved by the smart contract.

The smart contract will return the JSON file with the name, description, attributes and SVG of the Onii. Nothing can be stopped, your Onii will exist for the eternity.

Generation/Probability

An infinite amount of Onii can be minted at oniichain.com.

Your anime character has several randomly assigned characteristics on-chain :

  • Body (3)
  • Hair (33)
  • Eyes (24)
  • Eyebrows (6)
  • Nose (2)
  • Mouth (14)
  • Marks (13)
  • Earrings (12)
  • Accessory (15)
  • Mask (8)

More than 10 billion possible combinations! But every item comes with a probability… For example, you have 0.001% chance to mint an Onii with the “no-face” accessory :

You can find all the items here => https://www.oniichain.com/Items

Background

As we have seen, some Oniis are more likely to be minted if they have less rare items, but it’s hard to notice at first glance…

This is why we introduced the “background score”, where depending on the items, we assign a background that identifies the Oniis who are more or less lucky.

“Ordinary” are the more unlucky Oniis and “Unreal” the most rare.

Original Onii

Some Oniis aren’t uncommon, is it possible for a user to have the same Onii as another user? The answer is YES, but with a difference! 😉

If you are the first to mint a specific Onii, where the combination is unique, your Onii is “Original” and will stay “Original”.

But if you are not the first, your Onii will be a “Copy”… with a specific tattoo:
